Her dream just might come true. Self-employed clothing designer Kristy Mahoney has been given the chance of a lifetime. To present her designs to the buying team of Sierra Sanchez, a division of Osland International, is both terrifying and exhilarating. Is she ready for the presentation? There will be plenty of time to get it all together on the private Osland jet. A ride that’s disconcerting to say the least as she’s flying with Cleveland Osland’s grandsons, Jack Osland and Hunter Osland.
How fortuitous that the jet should have some minor mechanical problems near Vegas. The extra time will give Jack time to figure out what to do. Having no intention of allowing the lovely Kristy to become his grandfather’s gold digger wife #3 or take what’s rightfully his and his family’s, Jack hatches a plan. Seduce Kristy, both physically and emotionally; get her to sign a prenup and marry him instead of his grandfather, and then simply divorce her.
Jack’s plan works. A little too well. He struggles to keep his feelings neutral as Kristy falls for him. It’s all for the greater good of the family. But what about Jack’s happiness? Will that come a distant second? Or will he put his life and happiness first once he learns some key things about Kristy and himself?
A fast-paced read that engages the reader’s imagination, causes them to root for the characters and "boo" (at Jack) when needed, and possibly quirk a smile now and then.
Barbara Dunlop has given the reader a story that is both sweet and sizzling. The chemistry between Jack and Kristy is apparent from the beginning, coaxing the reader to continue to turn the page to see where it’s going to lead them.
Enjoy.
