Three women will meet under the strangest of circumstances. A hurricane is headed towards Tampa Bay with incredible force and is forecasted to hit the city full force. The downtown area is being evacuated when their paths collide.

Michelle Tilson is an energetic, young woman who owns and manages her own company. She has also fallen in love with a fantastic man. Now that she has discovered she is pregnant, she is sure they will marry and merge their families. He is a widower with children of his own so he is bound to want them to know each other and be raised together.

Isabel Suarez is a housekeeper for one of the high rises in the downtown area. She works independently and enjoys that aspect of her job. While she isn’t so much afraid of the hurricane coming in, she does have a past that keeps her looking over her shoulder. She is anxious to get home to the new man in her life who has pledged to protect her and the son who makes her life worth living.

Gina Rossman had the type of life women envied. A wonderful house in the suburb, great children to be home with, and a successful husband. However, she has also discovered that her perfect life isn’t so perfect. She has proof that her husband is having an affair and she doesn’t know how she can handle this ultimate betrayal.

Each of their lives mingle as they become stuck in an elevator of the downtown high rise that Isabel cleans, Michelle has her office and Gina’s husband works in. The storm is fast approaching and they don’t know if help will arrive in time. They pass the time by sharing parts of who they are with each other and reminiscing within their own minds.

Angela creates quite the paradox with The Elevator. Each of the women comes from very different pasts and current living situations. Each of them comes with their own worries and fears. Each of them comes with a different relationship situation and even children in their lives. However, this one event is causing them all to think about where they are in life and what they are going to do.

She has created individual strong characters which are real, believable and transparent to the reader. As the reader the scene is set and you are sitting in the elevator with these women. The Elevator’s tension is real and poignant with twists and turns that keep the reader guessing.
