Now that Lexi Harper has graduated from college and is working, she feels ready to meet the man of her fantasies. Brad Malloy has been the object of her heart’s desire since they were kids hanging out with his brother Sammy. Mrs. Malloy is hoping Sammy will catch Lexi’s eye and invites her to the annual Malloy Family Cookout. Lexi doesn’t have the heart to tell her mother that only one Malloy boy will do for her.
Imagine her surprise when she arrives at the party and hears the voice of her dreams saying hello and turns to find it is really Sam behind her.
While the story is a very short one, it has all the things that make a longer story work. It doesn’t feel choppy and flows really well. While there aren’t many pages, there’s a great message about fantasies versus reality. I enjoyed this heart-warming reminder of what is really important in life. The Truth About Daydreams is a wonderful breath of fresh air for your day.
