In To Wake The Dead, a 4,000 year old Egyptian Queen is awakened by those who have dared disturb her coffin. She now seeks revenge on those involved releasing a trail of death, terror, and vengeance never know before to man. What better setting for this story than a museum.

But the terror continues as the mummy leaves the museum during the dark hours of the night. No one is safe. There's no place to hide. Two main characters, Susan and Taggert, must find the mummy before it finds them. For they know how to stop her.

Laymon paints vivid pictures of the people, places and events of the story. The readers will feel as if they were there experiencing the story themselves. Laymon's attention to detail leaves little to the reader's imagination.

Be prepared to be scared. Also, be aware that there is violent sex in this book. This horror story, To Wake The Dead, is not for the light of heart or mind.

Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and H.R. Knight have company in Richard Laymon as the best horror/suspense/mystery writers of all times.
