When most of the drivers at the company become ill, Diana Metcalf becomes quickly promoted from the mini-bus school run to the top chauffeur’s car. She is entrusted to chauffer around Sheikh Zahir al Khalid for the day. This will make or break her in the business. Can she zip her lip long enough and stay in the background like a true chauffer? Her boss is counting on her and letting her know it’s a great way to boost her career. Diana needs that boost—to better life for her son. As a single mum, she’s always fighting to better herself and her life so Freddy can have a better life, too.

When the Sheikh sees his replacement driver, he’s knocked off guard—literally. When shoved by a boy running loose at the airport, Diana tries to save the gift he’s carrying. From the slip of her mouth, he knows there’s something different about her. He’s surprised that she treats him no differently than any other person. Diana seems so unaffected by his wealth. Could she be a gold digger in disguise?

Since Zahir is finishing business before returning home to marry the woman his family chooses, he cannot afford any strings or dalliances. He knows it’s an impossible situation; he can only hurt Diana by being with her. Yet, he can’t help himself as he is constantly drawn to her side looking for more.

Can Diana give up the hurt and pain of the past and trust Zahir to take care of her? Can he be trusted with her secrets? Will he be able to leave her to marry another woman?

This story tugged at my heartstrings the whole way through. The characters are so true to life that they became absolutely real to me. For those of you who have read the prior book, I think you’ll enjoy hearing more of where Lucy and her husband are at now. I haven’t read the previous title, but I think this book gives additional closure to their story. This book is a wonderful romance the way I remember them from days gone by. It’s two normal people who meet and feel the connection. They have problems and obstacles just like each of us does. However, I was rooting for them the whole way through. I think the ending will catch you by surprise and you’ll love how it ends.
