Veterans Way reunites childhood sweethearts James Scott and Stephanie Carlson Watson. Both led full lives until the time their respective spouses passed away.
James feels led by God to return to his hometown though he doesn't understand the purpose or reason until seeing and reacquainting himself with Steph.
Love and friendship reblossom which soon leads to a marriage proposal. Confident in their love and in God's plan, they move forward with the idea to marry.
Stumbling blocks in the form of opposition from their grown children fall in the way causing turmoil in Stephanie. She begins to wonder and questions if this is actually the will of God as the peace she had crumbles.
Through prayer and study, Stephanie is given her answer.
Veterans Way is not only a gentle love story about a couple in their golden years who were given a second chance at love, as love is not only for the young as Robin Lee Hatcher points out, but also a reminder to all that God has a plan for each of our lives if we would just step back and let Him do His work and listen for His guidance.
Robin Lee Hatcher has a way of touching the heart and mind. Her tender stories of love and faith go a long way in soothing the soul and the senses. And can't we all benefit from that from time to time?
Please take the time to read the books, current and future, in Robin's Hart's Crossing series.
