Sarah Livingston’s father has given her everything money could buy but it's never been what she's truly wanted, a loving husband and family of her own. During her continual quest for marriage, Sarah has had numerous "adventures" that has given her father many hours of despair and he finally throws up his hands at her latest escapade. Before her father could send her away Sarah decided on another "adventure". Sarah runs into a girl being forced to be a mail order bride and they switch places. Sarah has finally found the answer to her prayers.
Walker McKay wants nothing to do with women since his fiancé jilted him at the altar. But a tangle with a bull gives him second thoughts to a family. To avoid being hurt again, Walker doesn’t want the emotional entanglement in his marriage so he decides a stranger would do nicely, a mail order bride.
When Sarah and Walker meet she tells him her name but little else - trying to keep her location secret from her father until she's settled. Walker is pleased with Sarah and tries hard to keep his heart out of their relationship but it doesn't take long before he's in love. It takes no time at all for Sarah to fall for Walker and the marriage she's always wanted.
Sarah knows of Walker's past and how much he hates lies. Sarah must tell Walker the truth about her circumstances before he finds out on his own. As time passes and their love deepens something always seems to get in the way of Sarah telling Walker the truth. Circumstances force the truth out of Sarah and Walker is livid. Why did God send him another betraying female? Sarah is heartbroken and Walker won't listen to her so the only thing she can do is go home to her father.
How can God help two people too stubborn to see His plan? Will Walker realize that Sarah is the best thing God could have sent him? Can Sarah realize God's true plan for her and Walker?
Lori Copeland has given her readers another story that will stick with you long after you've finished the book. Ms Copeland's writing will make you feel the emotions of her characters; make them seem like friends you wish you could meet again. The inspirational message of God's forgiveness and mercy give the reader thoughts to ponder.
I’m sure that readers of all genres will enjoy Sarah and Walker’s sweet romance that’s laced with a hint of intrigue and subtle inspiration.
