Even newcomer Dan Brockman isn’t scratched off her list. He seems too good to be true; does that mean he can be trusted? What was he doing at the crime scene? What clue has she overlooked? Does Marty’s murder tie in with another similar murder committed just days before?
With determination and ingenuity Christy follows the clues and examines and re-examines the evidence. Only to find herself in a dangerous situation.
We’re treated to not only a very well thought out mystery, but to a caring main protagonist who is dealing with the consequences of choices. Not just hers, but of those from a previous relationship. Add to that an eclectic supporting cast that will touch your heart.
One of Ms. Darty’s gifts seems to be her imagination, her ability to create an intricate mystery and deliver an inspirational message with a light hand.
