On her way to visit her sister Mandy, Sally McCellenís traveling party was ambushed. Shot for dead, Sally falls into the lap (almost) of a handsome stranger, Logan McKenzie.
Logan, an artist from back east, is in the woods sketching the beautiful scenery when a stranger falls from high up on the cliff. No one could survive a fall like that and besides he may be shot, hard to believe he wouldnít be from the gun fire he heard. Logan finds the beautiful stranger in wrangler clothes (he thought was a he) alive. Not knowing the extent of her injuries Logan takes Sally to his cabin where his Shoshone housekeeper can hopefully keep her that way.
Mandy needed her, but broken bones, cuts and bruises keep Sally at this strangerís cabin for longer than she wants to take. Logan is attracted to the strong and beautiful Sally. Sadly he knows that he could never have a wife and family, he gets too engrossed in Godís beauty and his painting. Sally canít believe that a man can make a living painting pictures. Tension and impatience fly and Sallyís not so sure a man canít make a living painting pictures. Somewhere in between the healing and painting feelings grow.
In the meantime, the outlaws didnít find the wrangler that went over the cliff. They have never left witnesses before and they donít intend to start now. Healed or not, Sally and Logan have to hit the trail and fast!
Mandy is about due to deliver her 3rd child. Where is Sally; she should have been here long before now. Mandy needs her sister since her worthless in every way but money husband, Sidney, is no help.
Will God deliver Sally and Logan from the outlaws in time to help Mandy? Can Sally and Logan accept their differences and trust Godís direction no matter where it may take them? Will the wrangler in petticoats realize the softness she hides makes her the person God created as much as her strong and independent spirit?
Mary Connealy has once again given her readers a great mix of all the things that make a great inspirational romance. Laughter and tears, love and family, Godís beauty and mercy as well as an action packed tale makes this story another one thatís hard to put down. Sally and Logan are both strong, independent individuals, in their own way. Their differences are as vast as the Wild West yet thatís what pulls them together.
I completely enjoyed Wrangler in Petticoats and look forward to the next book in the series.
