1 lb. butter 1 cup sugar 1/2 lb. almonds (not blanched, ground fine. I use a blender.) 4 cups flour 2 tsp vanillaCream the butter and sugar. Add almonds and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour. Roll a small ball of dough (1" or less) in the palm of your hand and then shape into a crescent. Bake at 300 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Let cool. Roll in powered sugar. Makes about 8 dozen.
