Chicken: thighs, legs, breasts (your choice) egg/milk mixture flour (salt and peppered, seasoned to taste) In an electric fry pan, cover bottom of pan with oil and heat. Dredge the chicken in the egg/milk mixture, then the flour mixture. Fry chicken until thoroughly done at about 350 degrees. Remove the chicken and place on a plate covered in paper towels. Cover lightly to keep warm and set aside. Dumplings: 1 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 - 1 1/2 tsp. sage 3/4 c. milk There should be very little oil left in the bottom of the electric fry pan. Fill the fry pan about 1/2 way with water (leave the crunchy bits and crumbs of chicken in the pan). Add 2 chicken boullion cubes and heat to a boil. Mix the dumpling ingredients together and drop into the boiling broth using a teaspoon (dredge the spoon into the hot broth as you drop the mixture in - the dough will slide off easily). Cook for about 10-12 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve over the top of the chicken or separately.
