1 1/2 - 2 lb. ground round/chuck 1 - 8 oz. tomato sauce with garlic and spices 1 - 15 oz. can Hunt's seasoned tomato sauce for Lasagna 1 - 29 oz. can tomato puree 1 - 26 1/2 oz. can prepared spaghetti sauce of your choice (brand name is best) 2 small cans mushrooms, drained (optional) 1/3 c. (approximately) chopped onion (optional) 1 pkg. dry spaghetti sauce mix (brand name is best)
Brown meat in skillet and season to taste. While meat cooks, mix the remaining ingredients into a sprayed crock pot. Drain meat and add to the sauce mixture stirring all together. Crock will be full. Put lid on crock pot and heat. There's no need to stir until ready to serve. The flavor will vary each time you make this if you switch brands/flavors of even one or two of the ingredients and if you season your meat differently. 4-6 hours on low Can make the night before and refrigerate. In the morning, turn on low for all day cooking.
