Earthquake Cake

1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. flake coconut

1 box German chocolate cake mix (favorite chocolate cake mix 
can be used)
__________________________________________________________________

1 c. melted butter or margarine
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 lb. (3 1/2 cups) powdered sugar

Mix nuts and coconut together and spread on bottom of well 
greased or sprayed 9 x 13 pan.

Mix cake mix according to directions and pour over nut and 
coconut mix in pan.

Blend/mix melted butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar.  
Will be thick.  Dot on cake and spread as well as you can.  
(you may want to blend/mix this before mixing the cake)

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Note:  Nuts and coconut can be substituted for M&M's, 
Reese's pieces, chocolate, butterscotch, or peanut butter chips.

As the name of the recipe indicates, the cake will definitely 
be cracked.  Cracked, but gooey and rich!  It needs no frosting.
