1lb. hamburger Prepared spaghetti sauce 4 slices bread Italian buns 1 egg shredded mozzarella cheese 1/4 - 1/3 c. parmesean cheese to taste: salt pepper oregano garlic powder onion powderUsing a medium sized mixing bowl, soak bread in small amount of water (bread needs to be soggy, but there shouldn't be excess water in bowl). Into the bread, mix in hamburger, egg, parmesean cheese, and spices to taste. Form into small meatballs (1" - 1 1/2") and brown in a pan. Cook thoroughly. Drain if needed. Heat spaghetti sauce while meat browns and cooks. Place meatballs on buns. Spoon heated sauce over the meatballs. Top with mozzarella cheese. Put sandwiches on a foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes to melt and brown the cheese. Serve hot. This should make 4-6 sandwiches depending on how big you make the meatballs.
