Starlight Cake

Prepare 13 x 9 pan (grease and flour)
 
Sift all dry ingredients together:
2-1/8 cups gold medal flour
1-1/2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
 
Add:
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup milk
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla (or any other desired extract)
2 eggs

Beat all ingredients together, mixing well.  Pour into pan and bake for 
35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.  Finish with any desired frosting.
